Looking at the yearly data of new launches by price segments, the average prices of homes across the city have increased by 8.11% in the last 12 months. There has been a steady rise in prices across the board especially in the new projects where prices have gone up by ~ 24% in the last 12 months.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE IMPACT OF RISING PROPERTY COSTS AND HOME LOANS ON HOMEBUYERS?
Potential homebuyers fear that the upcoming hike would shatter their dream of owning home. However, developers have maintained that the hike would be moderate and will take some time to come into full effect. Future price increases will likely be more pronounced in high-demand low-supply locations, and in projects by branded developers.
